 Reasearch Interest

Professor Xing Duan’s research focuses on the effects of genetic and environmental factors on reproductive health. His group primarily investigates: (1) the effects and underlying mechanisms of emerging environmental contaminants on female reproductive health; (2) the mechanisms of female reproductive aging and potential preventive and therapeutic strategies; and (3) the development and application of reproductive organoid and organ-on-a-chip models.

Professor Duan has published more than 30 peer-reviewed articles as a first or corresponding author in leading international journals, including Nature Communications, The EMBO Journal, and Nucleic Acids Research. His research has received the Second Prize of the Natural Science Award of the Ministry of Education of China in 2023, the Third Prize of the Natural Science Award of the National Maternal and Child Health Science and Technology Awards in 2025, and the Outstanding Young Investigator Presentation Award from the Specialized Committee on Mutagenicity, Carcinogenicity, and Teratogenicity of the Chinese Environmental Mutagen Society in 2025.

The research group warmly welcomes undergraduate and graduate students with backgrounds in medicine, public health, biology, and related disciplines.
